Using the tools

Every calculation runs in your browser. Nothing you type into a tool, such as a date of birth, a price or a name, is sent to us or stored. Tool inputs are never added to the page address, so analytics only sees which page you opened.

Analytics

ZingCalc uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits and to show us which pages and tools people use.

It records information such as:

• the pages you visit and how long you stay
• your browser, device type and screen size
• your approximate location, such as country or city
• the website or search that brought you here

We use these reports only to see which tools are useful and what to improve. We don't sell this data.

You can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google explains how it uses data from sites like ours in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Contact and newsletter forms

Both forms send your details to us by email through FormSubmit, a form-to-email service. We don't keep a separate database of them.

• Contact form: your name, email address, the subject you pick and your message. We use them only to reply to you.
• Newsletter form in the footer: your email address. We use it only to send ZingCalc updates, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.

Advertising and cookies

Besides the Google Analytics cookies above, ZingCalc does not set cookies of its own. When ads are shown on ZingCalc, they are served by Google AdSense, which also uses cookies:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads in How Google uses cookies in advertising.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete any message or email address you have sent us. Email us and we will do it. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Children

ZingCalc does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page changes too.
